The brand was started in 2023 with a clear vision to preserve the traditional Indian weaving and embroidery techniques that have been passed down through generations. By integrating these techniques into practically usable and unique products for the modern world, we truly showcase the incredible craftsmanship of skilled artisans from the villages of Uttar Pradesh.

As an interior stylist I often saw dearth of good quality and well-designed affordable cushions in the market. This lead to us often buying fabrics and getting pieces stitched by local artisans for our clients. The love we got from these clients encouraged us to start a furnishing brand.

At Rya, we are trying to solve this issue on a much larger scale.
We offer unique designs that can beautifully adorn any Indian home, all while being affordable. These products are comfortable, cozy and will stand the test of time.

What is the meaning of RYA?

In literal sense RYA is a Scandinavian hand-knotting technique. It is also a greek feminine name that means dream or vision.

Meaning: to flow; dream; vision

To us Rya also means timelessness, sustainability, comfort and uniqueness.

Which is why our founder personally sketches each design, pouring her creativity and expertise into every stroke. These designs are then thoughtfully discussed with our skilled artisans, ensuring that not only are they visually stunning, but also practical in their execution. This collaborative process allows us to create pieces that are not only beautiful but also functional, making sure that our customers receive the best of both worlds.

We place a strong emphasis on the quality of our products. Each and every item undergoes a series of rigorous quality checks to ensure that it meets our high standards of durability and customer satisfaction.
